At the age of 25 I began a career of working with paint. I worked developing coatings and applications with Guardsman Chemical, Reliance Universal and Sherwin Williams. I then spent a few years with Forest Paint in Eugene lab assisting in the development of UV Coatings, Stove bright High Heat paint, and testing all types of coatings from house paints to epoxy coatings. I worked in tech service in Oregon, Idaho and Montana developing coatings for specific applications such as alcohol-based stains for paneling, UV coatings for shelving, even broom handle coatings.
In 1990 I decide to take the knowledge of coatings I had and start a painting company. I felt that we could offer more than just painting. We wanted to offer knowledge of the best coatings for prep and for the Finish coatings that best fit the project. There is no one size fits all coatings, even in house painting. Each coating is built for a specific purpose. Longevity comes from selecting the right one as described in the exterior section. Being able to measure the amount of paint applied is critical in our customers knowing they are getting the correct and best job possible.
We have done thousands of homes from street of dreams to painting a front door, all are just as important. We have done cabinet glazing to restoration of the existing. We have color and stained matched everything from bedding to clothing, bowls and even filberts. We specialize in new homes. We offer off site finishing of doors, cabinetry, trim packs for new and remodel construction to occasional furniture restoration.
A family-based business was also one of my goals. Over 36 plus years we have achieved that. All our crew members have been with the company for at least ten years. Every customer is treated as though they were family, with respect and consideration, knowing that we are visitors in and at your home. We will work around your schedule! Generationally, my grandson started working as a painter at the age of 16 and is now working to take over the business we have created in the years to come.
We know we can’t paint everyone’s house, we would just like to paint yours!
